History of a successful company

For over fifty years, we have been occupied exclusively in the specific task of directly and permanently marking work pieces in such a way that they are secure against forgery. Today, as a medium-sized business, we are one of the biggest manufacturers of marking equipment in the world.

Whereas, in the early years, we concentrated on conventional impact stamping and roller stamping machines and the requisite tools, the last two decades have witnessed a conversion to adaptable, electronically controlled marking systems.

We received the Rudolf Eberle prize for our patented print wheel stamp in 1986. This is awarded for the best innovations in the state of Baden Württemberg.
Since then, we have been continuously committed to the research and development of new techniques and products in order to fulfil our self-imposed claim to technological leadership

A further milestone in the development of the Company is the implementation of the stylus technology and its further development culminating in our adaptable needle stamping units. Today, this gentle process, which applies relatively little force to the workpiece and is commended throughout the world, dominates our current product range.

At present, we are engaged in satisfying the need for permanent 2D markings. The DataMatrix code (ECC200) is a promising process for marking very small areas. This code opens up many opportunities in the automotive and aerospace industries which have previously been left untapped.

The direct marking of components with the DataMatrix code for aircraft parts, e.g. turbines, calls for the utmost precision. To meet this particular need, we quickly developed a special technique embodying a degree of precision which is also available for every other type of application.

We also aim to continue to meet the requirements of the market over the next fifty years. In this way, we will then be assured of success, provided we continue to play to our strengths and, as we have done so far, to concentrate on a clearly defined product segment. In this way, the customer can be assured that he is dealing with an expert whenever he contacts us.
